MAKING CHANGE... is Santa Monica's community human rights newspaper, endowing and empowering the poor and unhoused with both a voice and an income. This independent newspaper, prepared by a consortium of Santa Monica and Los Angeles writers and publishers, is printed several times a year.

VENDORS: Any homeless person may become a registered vender by contacting Making Change... at (310) 391-1432. Vendors pay $2 cash per package of ten newspapers and resell them for the cover price of $2 each. Papers are available for cash (CASH ONLY -- NO CREDIT -- DON'T EVEN ASK!) at the Thursday food line in Palisades Park, the Small World Bookstore on the Venice Boardwalk, or the Making Change... office at 2210 Lincoln Boulevard, Room 15, Venice, CA 90291.(Phone first to be sure someone will be there.) Please DO NOT interrupt staff/salespeople if they are involved with clients/customers; these distribution sites will remain open only as long as we do not interfere with regular business. Have your Making Change... Vendor's ID, order quantity and cash ready.WRITERS: We encourage true stories by and about the homeless as well as poetry, art, and opinion pieces concerning, among other things, the policies and politics of local, state and federal agencies and the ways they affect us.
